具備意欲定勤奮之行的神足:像這樣,我的意欲將不是過鬆的、將不是過緊的、將不是向內收斂的、將不是向外散亂的,以及住於
前後有感知的:後如前那樣地,前如後那樣地;上如下那樣地,下如上那樣地;在夜間如在白天那樣地,在白天如在夜間那樣地。像這樣,以打開的、無覆蓋的心,修習有光輝的心。

具備考察定勤奮之行的神足:像這樣,我的考察將不是過鬆的、將不是過緊的、將不是向內收斂的、將不是向外散亂的,以及住於前後有感知的:後如前那樣地,前如後那樣地;上如下那樣地,下如上那樣地;在夜間如在白天那樣地,在白天如在夜間那樣地。像這樣,以打開的、無覆蓋的心,修習有光輝的心。
比丘們!而什麼是過鬆的意欲呢?比丘們!凡與倦怠俱行、與倦怠相應的意欲,比丘們!這被稱為過鬆的意欲。
比丘們!而什麼是過緊的意欲呢?比丘們!凡與掉舉俱行、與掉舉相應的意欲,比丘們!這被稱為過緊的意欲。
比丘們!而什麼是向內收斂的意欲呢?比丘們!凡與惛沈睡眠俱行、與惛沈睡眠相應的意欲,比丘們!這被稱為向內收斂的意欲。
比丘們!而什麼是向外散亂的意欲呢?比丘們!凡隨關於外部的
五種欲散亂、散開的意欲,比丘們!這被稱為向外散亂的意欲。
比丘們!而怎樣比丘住於前後有感知的:後如前那樣地,前如後那樣地?比丘們!這裡,前後想被比丘以慧善把握、善
作意、善理解、善貫通,比丘們!比丘這樣住於前後有感知的:後如前那樣地,前如後那樣地。
比丘們!而怎樣比丘住於上如下那樣地,下如上那樣地?比丘們!這裡,比丘就這個身體從腳掌之上,從髮梢之下,皮膚為邊界,有種種種類不淨充滿的,省察:『在這個身體中有頭髮、體毛、指甲、牙齒、皮膚、肌肉、筋腱、骨骼、骨髓、腎臟、心臟、肝臟、肋膜、脾臟、肺臟、腸子、腸間膜、胃、糞便、膽汁、痰、膿、血、汗、脂肪、眼淚、油脂、唾液、鼻涕、關節液、尿。』比丘們!比丘這樣住於上如下那樣地,下如上那樣地。
比丘們!而怎樣比丘住於在夜間如在白天那樣地,在白天如在夜間那樣地?比丘們!這裡,比丘白天凡以那些行相、相標、特相修習具備意欲定勤奮之行的神足者,那個夜晚[也]以那些行相、相標、特相修習具備意欲定勤奮之行的神足;又或夜晚凡以那些行相、相標、特相修習具備意欲定勤奮之行的神足者,那個白天[也]以那些行相、相標、特相修習具備意欲定勤奮之行的神足,比丘們!比丘這樣住於在夜間如在白天那樣地,在白天如在夜間那樣地。
比丘們!而怎樣比丘以打開的、無覆蓋的心修習有光輝的心?比丘們!這裡,
光明想被比丘善把握,白天想被
善決意,比丘們!比丘這樣以打開的、無覆蓋的心修習有光輝的心。
比丘們!而什麼是過鬆的活力呢?比丘們!凡與倦怠俱行、與倦怠相應的活力,比丘們!這被稱為過鬆的活力。
比丘們!而什麼是過緊的活力呢?比丘們!凡與掉舉俱行、與掉舉相應活力,比丘們!這被稱為過緊的活力。
比丘們!而什麼是向內收斂的活力呢?比丘們!凡與惛沈睡眠俱行、與惛沈睡眠相應的活力,比丘們!這被稱為向內收斂的活力。
比丘們!而什麼是向外散亂的活力呢?比丘們!凡隨關於外部的五種欲散亂、散開的活力,比丘們!這被稱為向外散亂的活力。……(中略)
比丘們!而怎樣比丘以打開的、無覆蓋的心修習有光輝的心?比丘們!這裡,比丘善把握光明想,善確立白天想,比丘們!比丘這樣以打開的、無覆蓋的心修習有光輝的心。
比丘們!而什麼是過鬆的心呢?比丘們!凡與倦怠俱行、與倦怠相應的心,比丘們!這被稱為過鬆的心。
比丘們!而什麼是過緊的心呢?比丘們!凡與掉舉俱行、與掉舉相應的心,比丘們!這被稱為過緊的心。
比丘們!而什麼是向內收斂的心呢?比丘們!凡與惛沈睡眠俱行、與惛沈睡眠相應的心,比丘們!這被稱為向內收斂的心。

比丘們!而什麼是向內收斂的考察呢?比丘們!凡與惛沈睡眠俱行、與惛沈睡眠相應的考察,比丘們!這被稱為向內收斂的考察。

比丘們!四神足這樣已修習、這樣已多作,有大果、大效益。
比丘們!比丘這樣,在四神足已修習、這樣已多作時,比丘體驗各種神通種類:是一個後變成多個,又,是多個後變成一個……(中略)以身體行使自在直到梵天世界。……比丘們!比丘這樣,在四神足已修習、這樣已多作時,比丘以諸
漏的滅盡,
當生以證智自作證後,
進入後住於無漏
心解脫、
慧解脫。」

832. “Cattārome, bhikkhave, iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahapphalā honti mahānisaṃsā”.
“Kathaṃ bhāvitā ca, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā kathaṃ bahulīkatā mahapphalā honti mahānisaṃsā? Idha, bhikkhave bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti– ‘iti me chando na ca atilīno bhavissati, na ca atippaggahito bhavissati, na ca ajjhattaṃ saṃkhitto bhavissati, na ca bahiddhā vikkhitto bhavissati’. Pacchāpuresaññī ca viharati– ‘yathā pure tathā pacchā, yathā pacchā tathā pure; yathā adho tathā uddhaṃ, yathā uddhaṃ tathā adho; yathā divā tathā rattiṃ yathā rattiṃ tathā divā’. Iti vivaṭena cetasā apariyonaddhena sappabhāsaṃ cittaṃ bhāveti. “Kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pacchāpuresaññī ca viharati– yathā pure tathā pacchā, yathā pacchā tathā pure? Idha bhikkhave, bhikkhuno pacchāpuresaññā suggahitā hoti sumanasikatā sūpadhāritā suppaṭividdhā paññāya. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pacchāpuresaññī ca viharati– yathā pure tathā pacchā, yathā pacchā tathā pure.
“Kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yathā adho tathā uddhaṃ, yathā uddhaṃ tathā adho viharati? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu imameva kāyaṃ uddhaṃ pādatalā adho kesamatthakā tacapariyantaṃ pūraṃ nānappakārassa asucino paccavekkhati– ‘atthi imasmiṃ kāye kesā lomā nakhā dantā taco maṃsaṃ nhāru aṭṭhi aṭṭhimiñjaṃ vakkaṃ hadayaṃ yakanaṃ kilomakaṃ pihakaṃ papphāsaṃ antaṃ antaguṇaṃ udariyaṃ karīsaṃ pittaṃ semhaṃ pubbo lohitaṃ sedo medo assu vasā kheḷo siṅghāṇikā lasikā muttan’ti. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yehi ākārehi yehi liṅgehi yehi nimittehi divā chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, so tehi ākārehi tehi liṅgehi tehi nimittehi rattiṃ chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhāra-samannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti; yehi vā pana ākārehi yehi liṅgehi yehi nimittehi rattiṃ chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, so tehi ākārehi tehi liṅgehi tehi nimittehi divā chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhāra-samannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti. “Kathañca bhikkhave, bhikkhu vivaṭena cetasā apariyonaddhena sappabhāsaṃ cittaṃ bhāveti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno ālokasaññā suggahitā hoti divāsaññā svādhiṭṭhitā. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu vivaṭena cetasā apariyonaddhena sappabhāsaṃ cittaṃ bhāveti.
“Katamañca bhikkhave, atilīnaṃ vīriyaṃ? Yaṃ, bhikkhave, vīriyaṃ kosajjasahagataṃ kosajjasampayuttaṃ– idaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, atilīnaṃ vīriyaṃ.
“Katamañca, bhikkhave, atippaggahitaṃ vīriyaṃ? Yaṃ, bhikkhave, vīriyaṃ uddhaccasahagataṃ uddhaccasampayuttaṃ– idaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, atippaggahitaṃ vīriyaṃ.

Evaṃ bhāvitā kho, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā evaṃ bahulīkatā mahapphalā honti mahānisaṃsā.
“Evaṃ bhāvitesu kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu catūsu iddhipādesu evaṃ bahulīkatesu, anekavihitaṃ iddhividhaṃ paccanubhoti– ekopi hutvā bahudhā hoti, bahudhāpi hutvā eko hoti …pe… yāva brahmalokāpi kāyena vasaṃ vatteti. Evaṃ bhāvitesu kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu catūsu iddhipādesu evaṃ bahulīkatesu, āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharatī”ti.
