  如是我聞
  一時住舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。
  爾時,世尊告諸比丘
  「過二百五十戒,隨次半月,來說波羅提木叉修多羅。令彼自求學者而學,說三學能攝諸戒,何等為三?謂增上戒學,增上意學,增上慧學。」
  佛說此經已,諸比丘聞佛所說,歡喜奉行。

  「比丘們!這一百五十餘條學處一個月兩次進行誦說,愛惜自己善男子在那裡學習,比丘們!在那裡,這三學行這所有之總攝,哪三個?增上戒學、增上心學、增上慧學,比丘們!在那裡,這三學行這所有之總攝。
  比丘們!這裡,比丘在戒上是全分行者,在定上是適量行者,在慧上是適量行者,凡那些小隨小學處他也犯,他也出罪,那是什麼原因?因為,比丘們!這裡,我不說不可能,但凡那些梵行的基礎、符合梵行的學處,在那裡,他有堅固的戒與住立的戒,在諸學處上受持後學習,他以三結的遍盡,為入流者、不墮惡趣法者、決定者正覺為彼岸者
  比丘們!又,這裡,比丘在戒上是全分行者,在定上是適量行者,在慧上是適量行者,凡那些小隨小學處他也犯,他也出罪,那是什麼原因?因為,比丘們!這裡,我不說不可能,但凡那些梵行的基礎、符合梵行的學處,在那裡,他有堅固的戒與住立的戒,在諸學處上受持後學習,他以三結的遍盡,以貪、瞋、癡薄的狀態,為一來者,只回來這個世間一次後,作苦的終結
  比丘們!又,這裡,比丘在戒上是全分行者,在定上是全分行者,在慧上是適量行者,凡那些小隨小學處他也犯,他也出罪,那是什麼原因?因為,比丘們!這裡,我不說不可能,但凡那些梵行的基礎、符合梵行的學處,在那裡,他有堅固的戒與住立的戒,在諸學處上受持後學習,他以五下分結的滅盡,成為化生者、在那裡般涅槃者、不從那個世間返還者。
  比丘們!又,這裡,比丘在戒上是全分行者,在定上是全分行者,在慧上是全分行者,凡那些小隨小學處他也犯,他也出罪,那是什麼原因?因為,比丘們!這裡,我不說不可能,但凡那些梵行的基礎、符合梵行的學處,在那裡,他有堅固的戒與住立的戒,在諸學處上受持後學習,他以諸漏的滅盡,以證智自作證後,在當生中進入後住於無漏心解脫慧解脫
  比丘們!這樣,一分行者一[部]分成功,全分行者則全部,比丘們!像這樣,我說學處是功不唐捐的。」

   87. “Sādhikamidaṃ bhikkhave, diyaḍḍhasikkhāpadasataṃ anvaddhamāsaṃ uddesaṃ āgacchati, yattha attakāmā kulaputtā sikkhanti. Tisso imā, bhikkhave, sikkhā yatthetaṃ sabbaṃ samodhānaṃ gacchati. Katamā tisso? Adhisīlasikkhā, adhicittasikkhā adhipaññāsikkhā– imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso sikkhā, yatthetaṃ sabbaṃ samodhānaṃ gacchati.
   “Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sīlesu paripūrakārī hoti samādhismiṃ mattaso kārī paññāya mattaso kārī. So yāni tāni khuddānukhuddakāni sikkhāpadāni tāni āpajjatipi vuṭṭhātipi. Taṃ kissa hetu? Na hi mettha, bhikkhave, abhabbatā vuttā. Yāni ca kho tāni sikkhāpadāni ādibrahmacariyakāni brahmacariyasāruppāni, tattha dhuvasīlo ca hoti ṭhitasīlo ca, samādāya sikkhati sikkhāpadesu. So tiṇṇaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā sotāpanno hoti avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo.
   “Idha pana, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sīlesu paripūrakārī hoti samādhismiṃ mattaso kārī paññāya mattaso kārī. So yāni tāni khuddānukhuddakāni sikkhāpadāni tāni āpajjatipi vuṭṭhātipi. Taṃ kissa hetu? Na hi mettha, bhikkhave, abhabbatā vuttā. Yāni ca kho tāni sikkhāpadāni ādibrahmacariyakāni brahmacariyasāruppāni tattha dhuvasīlo ca hoti ṭhitasīlo ca, samādāya sikkhati sikkhāpadesu. So tiṇṇaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā rāgadosamohānaṃ tanuttā sakadāgāmī hoti, sakideva imaṃ lokaṃ āgantvā dukkhassantaṃ karoti.
   “Idha pana, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sīlesu paripūrakārī hoti samādhismiṃ paripūrakārī paññāya mattaso kārī. So yāni tāni khuddānukhuddakāni sikkhāpadāni tāni āpajjatipi vuṭṭhātipi. Taṃ kissa hetu? So pañcannaṃ orambhāgiyānaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā opapātiko hoti tattha parinibbāyī anāvattidhammo tasmā lokā.
   “Idha pana, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sīlesu paripūrakārī hoti samādhismiṃ paripūrakārī paññāya paripūrakārī. So yāni tāni khuddānukhuddakāni sikkhāpadāni tāni āpajjatipi vuṭṭhātipi. Taṃ kissa hetu? Na hi mettha, bhikkhave, abhabbatā vuttā. Yāni ca kho tāni sikkhāpadāni ādibrahmacariyakāni brahmacariyasāruppāni tattha dhuvasīlo ca hoti ṭhitasīlo ca, samādāya sikkhati sikkhāpadesu. So āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharati.
   “Iti kho, bhikkhave, padesaṃ padesakārī ārādheti paripūraṃ paripūrakārī. Avañjhāni tvevāhaṃ, bhikkhave, sikkhāpadāni vadāmī”ti. Chaṭṭhaṃ.
