  「比丘們!醫師對消除膽引起的疾病、對消除痰引起的疾病、對消除風因素(等起)引起的疾病給與吐藥,比丘們!有這種吐藥,我不說:『這不存在。』比丘們!但,這吐藥也成功,也失敗。
  比丘們!而我將教導聖者的吐藥,這種吐藥只成功,不失敗,由於這種吐藥,生法的眾生從生被釋放;老法的眾生從老被釋放;死法的眾生從死被釋放;愁悲苦憂絕望法的眾生從愁悲苦憂絕望被釋放。你們要聽它!你們要好好作意!我將說了。」
  「是的,大德!」那些比丘回答世尊
  世尊說這個:
  「比丘們!而哪種聖者的吐藥,這種吐藥只成功,不失敗,由於這種吐藥,生法的眾生從生被釋放;老法的眾生從老被釋放;死法的眾生從死被釋放;愁悲苦憂絕望法的眾生從愁悲苦憂絕望被釋放呢?比丘們!對正見者來說,邪見被吐掉,而且,凡以邪見為緣各種惡不善法生成者,對他來說它們被吐掉,以及以正見為緣各種善法走到修習圓滿。比丘們!對正志者來說,邪志被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正語者來說,邪語被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正業者來說,邪業被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正命者來說,邪命被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正精進者來說,邪精進被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正念者來說,邪念被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正定者來說,邪定被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正智者來說,邪智被吐掉……(中略)比丘們!對正解脫者來說,邪解脫被吐掉,而且,凡以邪解脫為緣各種惡不善法生成者,對他來說它們被吐掉,以及以正解脫為緣各種善法走到修習圓滿。
  比丘們!這是那種聖者的吐藥,這種吐藥只成功,不失敗,由於這種吐藥,生法的眾生從生被釋放……(中略)愁悲苦憂絕望法的眾生從愁悲苦憂絕望被釋放。」

   109. “Tikicchakā bhikkhave, vamanaṃ denti pittasamuṭṭhānānampi ābādhānaṃ paṭighātāya, semhasamuṭṭhānānampi ābādhānaṃ paṭighātāya, vātasamuṭṭhānānampi ābādhānaṃ paṭighātāya. Atthetaṃ, bhikkhave, vamanaṃ; ‘netaṃ natthī’ti vadāmi. Tañca kho etaṃ, bhikkhave, vamanaṃ sampajjatipi vipajjatipi.
   “Ahañca kho, bhikkhave, ariyaṃ vamanaṃ desessāmi, yaṃ vamanaṃ sampajjatiyeva no vipajjati, yaṃ vamanaṃ āgamma jātidhammā sattā jātiyā parimuccanti, jarādhammā sattā jarāya parimuccanti, maraṇadhammā sattā maraṇena parimuccanti, sokaparidevadukkhadomanassupāyāsadhammā sattā sokaparidevadukkhadomanassupāyāsehi parimuccanti.    “Katamañca taṃ, bhikkhave, ariyaṃ vamanaṃ, yaṃ vamanaṃ sampajjatiyeva no vipajjati, yaṃ vamanaṃ āgamma jātidhammā sattā jātiyā parimuccanti …pe… sokaparidevadukkhadomanassupāyāsadhammā sattā sokaparidevadukkha-domanassupāyāsehi parimuccanti?
   “Sammādiṭṭhikassa bhikkhave, micchādiṭṭhi vantā hoti; ye ca micchādiṭṭhipaccayā aneke pāpakā akusalā dhammā sambhavanti te cassa vantā honti; sammādiṭṭhipaccayā ca aneke kusalā dhammā bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchanti.
   “Sammāsaṅkappassa, bhikkhave, micchāsaṅkappo vanto hoti …pe… sammāvācassa, bhikkhave, micchāvācā vantā hoti… sammākammantassa, bhikkhave, micchākammanto vanto hoti… sammā-ājīvassa bhikkhave, micchā-ājīvo vanto hoti… sammāvāyāmassa, bhikkhave, micchāvāyāmo vanto hoti… sammāsatissa, bhikkhave, micchāsati vantā hoti… sammāsamādhissa, bhikkhave, micchāsamādhi vanto hoti… sammāñāṇissa, bhikkhave, micchāñāṇaṃ vantaṃ hoti …pe….
   “Sammāvimuttissa bhikkhave, micchāvimutti vantā hoti; ye ca micchāvimuttipaccayā aneke pāpakā akusalā dhammā sambhavanti te cassa vantā honti; sammāvimuttipaccayā ca aneke kusalā dhammā bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchanti.
