  「比丘們!有這七想,已修習、已多作,有大果、大效益、不死的立足處、不死的完結,哪七個呢?不淨想、死想、在食物上厭逆想、在世間一切上不樂想、無常想、對無常苦想、對苦無我想,比丘們!這些是七想,已修習、已多作,有大果、大效益、不死的立足處、不死的完結。
  『比丘們!不淨想已修習、已多作,有大果、大效益、不死的立足處、不死的完結。』而像這樣這個被說,這是緣於什麼被說呢?比丘們!當比丘的心多住於慣常不淨想時,他的心從性交(婬欲法等至)遠離(撤回)、避開(退縮)、反轉,不被伸展,保持平靜或厭逆性。比丘們!猶如雞羽毛或筋革被投入火,它遠離、避開、反轉,不被伸展。同樣的,比丘們!當比丘的心多住於慣常不淨想時,他的心從入婬欲法遠離、避開、反轉,不被伸展,保持平靜或厭逆性。
  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常不淨想時,他的心與入婬欲法隨結,保持不厭逆性,比丘們!這應該被知道:『不淨想未被我修習,我[修習的]前後沒有差別,我的修習力(/修習果)未達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。
  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常不淨想時,他的心從入婬欲法遠離、避開、反轉,不被伸展,保持平靜或厭逆性,比丘們!這應該被知道:『不淨想被我善修習,我[修習的]前後有差別,我的修習力已達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。

  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常死想時,他的心與生命欲求隨結,保持不厭逆性,比丘們!這應該被知道:『死想未被我修習,我[修習的]前後沒有差別,我的修習力未達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。

  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常對食物的厭逆想時,他的心從味道的渴愛退去……(中略)保持平靜或厭逆性,比丘們!這應該被知道:『對食物的厭逆想被我善修習,我[修習的]前後有差別,我的修習力已達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。

  『比丘們!在世間一切上不樂想已修習、已多作,有大果、大效益、不死的立足處、不死的完結。』而像這樣這個被說,這是緣於什麼而說呢?比丘們!當比丘的心多住於慣常在世間一切上不樂想時,他的心從對世間的種種退去……(中略)。比丘們!猶如……(中略)遠離、避開、反轉,不被伸展。同樣的,比丘們!當比丘的心多住於慣常在世間一切上不樂想時,他的心從對世間的種種遠離、避開、反轉,不被伸展,保持平靜或厭逆性。
  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常在世間一切上不樂想時,他的心與對世間的種種隨結,保持不厭逆性,比丘們!這應該被知道:『在世間一切上不樂想未被我修習,我[修習的]前後沒有差別,我的修習力未達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。
  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常在世間一切上不樂想時,他的心從對世間的種種退去……(中略)保持平靜或厭逆性,比丘們!這應該被知道:『在世間一切上不樂想被我善修習,我[修習的]前後有差別,我的修習力已達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。

  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常對無常苦想時,他對懶惰、懈怠、散漫、放逸、不勤行、不觀察不成為強烈怖畏想的現前者,比丘們!猶如對著已拔劍的殺者,比丘們!這應該被知道:『對無常苦想未被我修習,我[修習的]前後沒有差別,我的修習力未達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。
  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常對無常苦想時,他對懶惰、懈怠、散漫、放逸、不勤行、不觀察成為強烈怖畏想的現前者,比丘們!猶如對著已拔劍的殺者,比丘們!這應該被知道:『對無常苦想被我善修習,我[修習的]前後有差別,我的修習力已達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。

  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常對苦無我想時,他在這有識之身與一切身外諸相上未離我作、我所作、慢而心超越慢類成為寂靜者、善解脫者,比丘們!這應該被知道:『苦無我想未被我修習,我[修習的]前後沒有差別,我的修習力未達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。
  比丘們!如果當比丘的心多住於慣常對苦無我想時,他在這有識之身與一切身外諸相上離我作、我所作、慢而心超越慢類成為寂靜者、善解脫者,比丘們!這應該被知道:『苦無我想被我善修習,我[修習的]前後有差別,我的修習力已達到。』像這樣,他在那裡是正知者。

   49. “Sattimā, bhikkhave, saññā bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahapphalā honti mahānisaṃsā amatogadhā amatapariyosānā. Katamā satta? Asubhasaññā, maraṇasaññā, āhāre paṭikūlasaññā, sabbaloke anabhiratasaññā, aniccasaññā, anicce dukkhasaññā, dukkhe anattasaññā. Imā kho, bhikkhave, satta saññā bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahapphalā honti mahānisaṃsā amatogadhā amatapariyosānāti.
   “‘Asubhasaññā bhikkhave, bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahapphalā hoti mahānisaṃsā amatogadhā amatapariyosānā’ti. Iti kho panetaṃ vuttaṃ. Kiñcetaṃ paṭicca vuttaṃ? Itiha tattha sampajāno hoti. ‘Dukkhe anattasaññā, bhikkhave, bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahapphalā hoti mahānisaṃsā amatogadhā amatapariyosānā’ti, iti yaṃ taṃ vuttaṃ idametaṃ paṭicca vuttaṃ.
   “Imā kho, bhikkhave, satta saññā bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahapphalā honti mahānisaṃsā amatogadhā amatapariyosānā”ti. Chaṭṭhaṃ.
