被我這麼聽聞:
有一次,
世尊住在金毘羅竹林。
在那裡,世尊召喚
尊者金毘羅:
「金毘羅!
入出息念之定怎樣已
修習、怎樣已
多作,有大果、
大效益呢?」
在這麼說時,尊者金毘羅保持沈默。
第二次,世尊又……(中略)。
第三次,世尊又召喚尊者金毘羅:
「金毘羅!入出息念之定怎樣已修習、怎樣已多作,有大果、大效益呢?」
第三次,尊者金毘羅又保持沈默。
在這麼說時,尊者阿難對世尊說這個:
「世尊!是為了這個的適當時機,
善逝!是為了這個的適當時機:凡如果世尊說入出息念之定。聽聞世尊的[教說]後,
比丘們將會憶持。」
「阿難!那樣的話,你要聽!你要
好好作意!我將說了。」
「是的,世尊!」尊者阿難回答世尊。
世尊說這個:
「阿難!入出息念之定怎樣已修習、怎樣已多作,有大果、大效益呢?
阿難!這裡,到
林野的,或到樹下的,或到空屋的比丘坐下,
盤腿、定置端直的身體、
建立面前的念後,
他只具念地吸氣、只具念地呼氣:
……(中略)
學習:『
隨看著斷念,我將吸氣。』學習:『隨看著斷念,我將呼氣。』
阿難!入出息念之定這樣已修習、這樣已多作,有大果、大效益。
阿難!比丘凡在當吸氣長時,知道:『我吸氣長。』或當呼氣長時,知道:『我呼氣長。』或當吸氣短時,知道:『我吸氣短。』或當呼氣短時,知道:『我呼氣短。』學習:『
經驗著一切身,我將吸氣。』學習:『經驗著一切身,我將呼氣。』學習:『
使身行寧靜著,我將吸氣。』學習:『使身行寧靜著,我將呼氣。』阿難!在那時,比丘住於
在身上隨看著身:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的
貪婪、憂後。那是什麼原因呢?阿難!我說這是身的一種,即:吸氣、呼氣。阿難!因此,在這裡,在那時,比丘住於在身上隨看著身:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的貪婪、憂後。
阿難!比丘凡在學習:『
經驗著喜,我將吸氣。』學習:『經驗著喜,我將呼氣。』學習:『經驗著樂,我將吸氣。』學習:『經驗著樂,我將呼氣。』學習:『經驗著
心行,我將吸氣。』學習:『經驗著心行,我將呼氣。』學習:『使心行寧靜著,我將吸氣。』學習:『使心行寧靜著,我將呼氣。』時,阿難!在那時,比丘住於在諸受上隨看著受:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的貪婪、憂後。那是什麼原因呢?阿難!我說這是受的一種,即:吸氣、呼氣的好好作意。阿難!因此,在這裡,在那時,比丘住於在諸受上隨看著受:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的貪婪、憂後。
阿難!比丘凡在學習:『
經驗著心,我將吸氣。』學習:『經驗著心,我將呼氣。』學習:『
使心喜悅著,我將吸氣。』使心喜悅著……(中略)
集中著心……(中略)學習:『
使心解脫著,我將吸氣。』學習:『使心解脫著,我將呼氣。』時,阿難!在那時,比丘住於在心上隨看著心:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的貪婪、憂後。那是什麼原因呢?阿難!我不說
念已忘失、不正知者有入出息念之定的修習。阿難!因此,在這裡,在那時,比丘住於在心上隨看著心:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的貪婪、憂後。
阿難!比丘凡在學習:『
隨看著無常,我將吸氣。』……(中略)隨看著
離貪……(中略)
隨看著滅……(中略)學習:『
隨看著斷念,我將吸氣。』學習:『隨看著斷念,我將呼氣。』時,阿難!在那時,比丘住於在諸法上隨看著法:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的貪婪、憂後。凡他以慧看見後有貪婪、憂的捨斷,
他是善旁觀者。阿難!因此,在這裡,在那時,比丘住於在諸法上隨看著法:熱心的、正知的、有念的,調伏世間中的貪婪、憂後。
阿難!猶如在十字路口處有大土堆,如果貨車或馬車從東方到來,就破壞那個土堆,如果也從西方到來……(中略)如果也從北方到來……(中略)如果貨車或馬車也從南方到來,就破壞那個土堆。同樣的,阿難!比丘當住於在身上隨看著身時,就破壞諸惡不善法,在諸受上……(中略)在心上……(中略)當也住於在諸法上隨看著法時,就破壞諸惡不善法。」
一法品第一,其
攝頌:
「一法與覺支,概要與二則大果,
阿梨瑟吒、迦賓、燈,毘舍離與以金毘羅。」
SN.54.10/(10) Kimilasuttaṃ
986. Evaṃ me sutaṃ– ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā kimilāyaṃ viharati veḷuvane. Tatra kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ kimilaṃ āmantesi – “kathaṃ bhāvito nu kho, kimila, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso”ti?
Evaṃ vutte āyasmā kimilo tuṇhī ahosi. Dutiyampi kho bhagavā …pe… tatiyampi kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ kimilaṃ āmantesi – “kathaṃ bhāvito nu kho, kimila, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso”ti? Tatiyampi kho āyasmā kimilo tuṇhī ahosi.
Evaṃ vutte āyasmā ānando bhagavantaṃ etadavoca– “etassa, bhagavā, kālo; etassa, sugata, kālo! Yaṃ bhagavā ānāpānassatisamādhiṃ bhāseyya Bhagavato sutvā bhikkhū dhāressantī”ti.
“Tenahānanda, suṇāhi, sādhukaṃ manasi karohi; bhāsissāmī”ti. “Evaṃ, bhante”ti kho āyasmā ānando bhagavato paccassosi. Bhagavā etadavoca– “kathaṃ bhāvito ca, ānanda, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso? Idhānanda, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. So satova assasati, satova passasati …pe… ‘paṭinissaggānupassī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘paṭinissaggānupassī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati. Evaṃ bhāvito kho, ānanda, ānāpānassatisamādhi evaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso”.
“Yasmiṃ samaye, ānanda, bhikkhu dīghaṃ vā assasanto ‘dīghaṃ assasāmī’ti pajānāti, dīghaṃ vā passasanto ‘dīghaṃ passasāmī’ti pajānāti; rassaṃ vā assasanto ‘rassaṃ assasāmī’ti pajānāti, rassaṃ vā passasanto ‘rassaṃ passasāmī’ti pajānāti; ‘sabbakāyappaṭisaṃvedī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘sabbakāyappaṭisaṃvedī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati; ‘passambhayaṃ kāyasaṅkhāraṃ assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘passambhayaṃ kāyasaṅkhāraṃ passasissāmī’ti sikkhati– kāye kāyānupassī, ānanda, bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ. Taṃ kissa hetu? Kāyaññatarāhaṃ, ānanda, etaṃ vadāmi yadidaṃ– assāsapassāsaṃ. Tasmātihānanda, kāye kāyānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
“Yasmiṃ samaye, ānanda, bhikkhu ‘pītippaṭisaṃvedī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘pītippaṭisaṃvedī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati; ‘sukhappaṭisaṃvedī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘sukhappaṭisaṃvedī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati; ‘cittasaṅkhārappaṭisaṃvedī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘cittasaṅkhārappaṭisaṃvedī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati; ‘passambhayaṃ cittasaṅkhāraṃ passasissāmī’ti sikkhati– vedanāsu vedanānupassī, ānanda, bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ. Taṃ kissa hetu? Vedanāññatarāhaṃ, ānanda, etaṃ vadāmi, yadidaṃ– assāsapassāsānaṃ sādhukaṃ manasikāraṃ. Tasmātihānanda, vedanāsu vedanānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
“Yasmiṃ samaye, ānanda, bhikkhu ‘cittappaṭisaṃvedī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘cittappaṭisaṃvedī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati; abhippamodayaṃ cittaṃ …pe… samādahaṃ cittaṃ …pe… ‘vimocayaṃ cittaṃ assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘vimocayaṃ cittaṃ passasissāmī’ti sikkhati– citte cittānupassī, ānanda, bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ. Taṃ kissa hetu? Nāhaṃ, ānanda, muṭṭhassatissa asampajānassa ānāpānassatisamādhibhāvanaṃ vadāmi. Tasmātihānanda, citte cittānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
“Yasmiṃ samaye, ānanda, bhikkhu ‘aniccānupassī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati …pe… virāgānupassī …pe… nirodhānupassī …pe… ‘paṭinissaggānupassī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘paṭinissaggānupassī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati– dhammesu dhammānupassī, ānanda, bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ. So yaṃ taṃ hoti abhijjhādomanassānaṃ pahānaṃ taṃ paññāya disvā sādhukaṃ ajjhupekkhitā hoti. Tasmātihānanda, dhammesu dhammānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
“Seyyathāpi ānanda, catumahāpathe mahāpaṃsupuñjo. Puratthimāya cepi disāyaṃ āgaccheyya sakaṭaṃ vā ratho vā, upahanateva taṃ paṃsupuñjaṃ; pacchimāya cepi disāya āgaccheyya …pe… uttarāya cepi disāya …pe… dakkhiṇāya cepi disāya āgaccheyya sakaṭaṃ vā ratho vā, upahanateva taṃ paṃsupuñjaṃ. Evameva kho, ānanda, bhikkhu kāye kāyānupassī viharantopi upahanateva pāpake akusale dhamme; vedanāsu …pe… citte …pe… dhammesu dhammānupassī viharantopi upahanateva pāpake akusale dhamme”ti. Dasamaṃ.
Ekadhammavaggo paṭhamo.
Tassuddānaṃ–
Ekadhammo ca bojjhaṅgo, suddhikañca duve phalā.
Ariṭṭho kappino dīpo, vesālī kimilena cāti.
