53.(9)禪相應
1.恒河中略品
相應部53相應 1-12經/禪等經十二則(禪相應/大篇/如來記說)(莊春江譯)
  起源於舍衛城。
  「比丘們!有這四禪,哪四種呢?比丘們!這裡,比丘從離欲、離不善法後,進入後住於有尋、有伺離而生喜、樂的初禪;以尋與伺的平息,自信一心,進入後住於無尋、無伺,定而生喜、樂的第二禪;以喜的褪去與住於平靜,有念、正知,以身體感受樂,進入後住於這聖弟子宣說:『他是平靜、具念、住於樂者』的第三禪;以樂的捨斷與苦的捨斷,及以之前喜悅與憂的滅沒,進入後住於不苦不樂,由平靜而念遍淨的第四禪,比丘們!這些是四禪。
  比丘們!猶如恒河向東低斜、向東傾斜、向東坡斜。同樣的,比丘們!修習四禪、多修習四禪的比丘向涅槃低斜、向涅槃傾斜、向涅槃坡斜。
  比丘們!修習四禪、多修習四禪的比丘如何向涅槃低斜、向涅槃傾斜、向涅槃坡斜呢?比丘們!這裡,比丘從離欲、離不善法後,進入後住於有尋、有伺,離而生喜、樂的初禪;以尋與伺的平息,……(中略)第二禪;……(中略)第三禪;……(中略)第四禪。比丘們!這樣修習四禪、多修習四禪的比丘向涅槃低斜、向涅槃傾斜、向涅槃坡斜。」[按:全品應如SN.45.139-148那樣]
  恒河中略品第一,其攝頌
  「六則向東傾斜,六則向大海傾斜,
   這兩個六則成十二則,此被稱為品。」
  不放逸品應該使之詳細[按:如SN.45.139-148那樣], 其攝頌:
  「如來、足跡、屋頂尖,根、樹心、茉莉花,
   王、月、日,以衣服為第十句。」
  力量所作品應該使之詳細[按:如SN.45.149-160那樣],其攝頌:
  「力量、種子與龍,樹木、瓶子及穗,
   虛空與二則雨雲,船、屋舍、河。」
  尋求品應該使之詳細[按:如SN.45.161-171],其攝頌:
  「尋求、慢、煩惱,有與三苦性,
   荒蕪、垢、惱亂,受、渴愛、渴望。」

1. Gaṅgāpeyyālavaggo
SN.53.1- 12/(1- 12) Jhānādisuttadvādasakaṃ
   923-934. Sāvatthinidānaṃ “cattāro me, bhikkhave, jhānā. Katame cattāro? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu vivicceva kāmehi vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakkaṃ savicāraṃ vivekajaṃ pītisukhaṃ paṭhamaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati. Vitakkavicārānaṃ vūpasamā ajjhattaṃ sampasādanaṃ cetaso ekodibhāvaṃ avitakkaṃ avicāraṃ samādhijaṃ pītisukhaṃ dutiyaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati. Pītiyā ca virāgā upekkhako ca viharati sato ca sampajāno sukhañca kāyena paṭisaṃvedeti, yaṃ taṃ ariyā ācikkhanti– ‘upekkhako satimā sukhavihārī’ti tatiyaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati. Sukhassa ca pahānā dukkhassa ca pahānā pubbeva somanassadomanassānaṃ atthaṅgamā adukkhamasukhaṃ upekkhāsatipārisuddhiṃ catutthaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro jhānā”ti.
   “Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, gaṅgā nadī pācīnaninnā pācīnapoṇā pācīnapabbhārā; evameva kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cattāro jhāne bhāvento cattāro jhāne bahulīkaronto nibbānaninno hoti nibbānapoṇo nibbānapabbhāro. Kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cattāro jhāne bhāvento cattāro jhāne bahulīkaronto nibbānaninno hoti nibbānapoṇo nibbānapabbhāro? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu vivicceva kāmehi vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakkaṃ savicāraṃ vivekajaṃ pītisukhaṃ paṭhamaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati. Vitakkavicārānaṃ vūpasamā …pe… dutiyaṃ jhānaṃ …pe… tatiyaṃ jhānaṃ …pe… catutthaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja viharati.    Tassuddānaṃ–
   Cha pācīnato ninnā, cha ninnā ca samuddato;
   Dvete cha dvādasa honti, vaggo tena pavuccatīti.
   Appamādavaggo vitthāretabbo.
   Tassuddānaṃ–
   Tathāgataṃ padaṃ kūṭaṃ, mūlaṃ sāro ca vassikaṃ;
   Rājā candimasūriyā, vatthena dasamaṃ padanti.
   Balakaraṇīyavaggo vitthāretabbo.
   Tassuddānaṃ–
   Balaṃ bījañca nāgo ca, rukkho kumbhena sūkiyā.
   Ākāsena ca dve meghā, nāvā āgantukā nadīti.
   Esanāvaggo vitthāretabbo.
   Tassuddānaṃ–
   Esanā vidhā āsavo, bhavo ca dukkhatā tisso;
   Khilaṃ malañca nīgho ca, vedanā taṇhā tasinā cāti.
