相應部35相應247經/像六種生物那樣經(處相應/處篇/修多羅)(莊春江譯)
  「比丘們!猶如肢體長瘡化膿的男子會進入箭林,茅草荊棘會刺在腳上,蘆葦葉子會刮肢體,這樣,比丘們!那位男子以此因緣更加感受苦、憂。同樣的,比丘們!這裡,一些比丘走到村落或山林得到責備:『這位尊者,他這樣的行為,這樣的行事,是不淨的村落荊棘者。』像這樣,他已知:『那是荊棘。』後,他應該知道自制與不自制。
  比丘們!怎樣是不自制呢?比丘們!這裡,比丘以眼見色後,傾心於可愛色,排拒不可愛色,住於身念未建立,少心的,不如實了知心解脫慧解脫:那些所生起的惡不善法無餘滅之處;以耳聽聲音後,……以鼻聞氣味後,……以舌嚐味道後……以身觸所觸後,……以意識知法後,傾心於可愛法,排拒不可愛法,住於身念未建立,少心的,不如實了知心解脫、慧解脫:那些所生起的惡不善法無餘滅之處。
  比丘們!猶如男子捕捉不同行境、不同境域的六種生物後,會以堅固的繩索繫縛:他捕捉蛇後,會以堅固的繩索繫縛;捕捉鱷魚後,會以堅固的繩索繫縛;捕捉鳥後,會以堅固的繩索繫縛;捕捉狗後,會以堅固的繩索繫縛;捕捉狐狼後,會以堅固的繩索繫縛;捕捉猴子後,會以堅固的繩索繫縛;以堅固的繩索繫縛後,會在中間打結,然後會放開,比丘們!那時,不同行境、不同境域的六種生物會拉向各自的境域與行處:蛇會拉向『我要入蟻丘。』鱷魚會拉向『我要入水。』鳥會拉向『我要空中飛。』狗會拉向『我要入村落。』狐狼會拉向『我要入墓地。』猴子會拉向『我要入樹林。』比丘們!那時候,那六種生物會被消耗疲憊,那時,牠們會順從牠們之中比較有力的那隻生物,會隨其控制而去。同樣的,比丘們!凡任何比丘的身至念修習、未多修習時,眼拉向合意的色上,對不合意的色是厭逆的;……(中略)意拉向合意的法上,對不合意的法是厭逆的,比丘們!這樣是不自制。
  比丘們!怎樣是自制呢?比丘們!這裡,比丘以眼見色後,不傾心於可愛色,不排拒不可愛色,住於身念已建立,無量心的,如實了知心解脫、慧解脫:那些所生起的惡不善法無餘滅之處;以耳聽聲音後,……以鼻聞氣味後,……以舌嚐味道後……以身觸所觸後,……以意識知法後,不傾心於可愛法,不排拒不可愛法,住於身念已建立,無量心的,如實了知心解脫、慧解脫:那些所生起的惡不善法無餘滅之處。

  比丘們!『堅固的標柱或柱子』,這是對於身至念的同義語,比丘們!因此,在這裡,你們應該這麼學:『我們要修習、多修習身至念,作為車輛、作為所依、已實行、已累積、善精勤的。』
  比丘們!你們應該這麼學。」
SN.35.247/(10) Chappāṇakopamasuttaṃ
   247. “Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, puriso arugatto pakkagatto saravanaṃ paviseyya. Tassa kusakaṇṭakā ceva pāde vijjheyyuṃ, sarapattāni ca gattāni vilekheyyuṃ. Evañhi so, bhikkhave, puriso bhiyyosomattāya tatonidānaṃ dukkhaṃ domanassaṃ paṭisaṃvediyetha. Evameva kho, bhikkhave, idhekacco bhikkhu gāmagato vā araññagato vā labhati vattāraṃ– ‘ayañca so āyasmā evaṃkārī evaṃsamācāro asucigāmakaṇṭako’ti. Taṃ kaṇṭakoti iti viditvā saṃvaro ca asaṃvaro ca veditabbo.
   “Kathañca bhikkhave, asaṃvaro hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cakkhunā rūpaṃ disvā piyarūpe rūpe adhimuccati, appiyarūpe rūpe byāpajjati, anupaṭṭhitakāyassati ca viharati parittacetaso. Tañca cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti, yatthassa te uppannā pāpakā akusalā dhammā aparisesā nirujjhanti. Sotena saddaṃ sutvā… ghānena gandhaṃ ghāyitvā… jivhāya rasaṃ sāyitvā… kāyena phoṭṭhabbaṃ phusitvā… manasā dhammaṃ viññāya piyarūpe dhamme adhimuccati, appiyarūpe dhamme byāpajjati, anupaṭṭhitakāyassati ca viharati parittacetaso, tañca cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ yathābhūtaṃ nappajānāti, yatthassa te uppannā pāpakā akusalā dhammā aparisesā nirujjhanti.
   “Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, puriso chappāṇake gahetvā nānāvisaye nānāgocare daḷhāya rajjuyā bandheyya. Ahiṃ gahetvā daḷhāya rajjuyā bandheyya. Susumāraṃ gahetvā daḷhāya rajjuyā bandheyya. Pakkhiṃ gahetvā daḷhāya rajjuyā bandheyya. Kukkuraṃ gahetvā daḷhāya rajjuyā bandheyya Siṅgālaṃ gahetvā daḷhāya rajjuyā bandheyya. Makkaṭaṃ gahetvā daḷhāya rajjuyā bandheyya. Daḷhāya rajjuyā bandhitvā majjhe gaṇṭhiṃ karitvā ossajjeyya. Atha kho, te, bhikkhave chappāṇakā nānāvisayā nānāgocarā sakaṃ sakaṃ gocaravisayaṃ āviñcheyyuṃ – ahi āviñcheyya ‘vammikaṃ pavekkhāmī’ti, susumāro āviñcheyya ‘udakaṃ pavekkhāmī’ti, pakkhī āviñcheyya ‘ākāsaṃ ḍessāmī’ti, kukkuro āviñcheyya ‘gāmaṃ pavekkhāmī’ti, siṅgālo āviñcheyya ‘sīvathikaṃ pavekkhāmī’ti, makkaṭo āviñcheyya ‘vanaṃ pavekkhāmī’ti. Yadā kho te, bhikkhave, chappāṇakā jhattā assu kilantā, atha kho yo nesaṃ pāṇakānaṃ balavataro assa tassa te anuvatteyyuṃ, anuvidhāyeyyuṃ vasaṃ gaccheyyuṃ. Evameva kho, bhikkhave, yassa kassaci bhikkhuno kāyagatāsati abhāvitā abahulīkatā, taṃ cakkhu āviñchati manāpiyesu rūpesu, amanāpiyā rūpā paṭikūlā honti …pe… mano āviñchati manāpiyesu dhammesu, amanāpiyā dhammā paṭikūlā honti. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, asaṃvaro hoti.
   “Kathañca, bhikkhave, saṃvaro hoti? Evameva kho, bhikkhave, yassa kassaci bhikkhuno kāyagatāsati bhāvitā bahulīkatā, taṃ cakkhu nāviñchati manāpiyesu rūpesu, amanāpiyā rūpā nappaṭikūlā honti …pe… jivhā nāviñchati manāpiyesu rasesu …pe… mano nāviñchati manāpiyesu dhammesu, amanāpiyā dhammā nappaṭikūlā honti. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, saṃvaro hoti.
   “‘Daḷhe khīle vā thambhe vā’ti kho, bhikkhave, kāyagatāya satiyā etaṃ adhivacanaṃ. Tasmātiha vo, bhikkhave, evaṃ sikkhitabbaṃ– ‘kāyagatā no sati bhāvitā bhavissati bahulīkatā yānīkatā vatthukatā anuṭṭhitā paricitā susamāraddhā’ti. Evañhi kho, bhikkhave, sikkhitabban”ti. Dasamaṃ.
漢巴經文比對(莊春江作):
  「失收摩羅(SA.1171);鱣魚(AA.38.8)」,南傳作「鱷魚」(Susumāraṃ, suṃsumāraṃ),菩提比丘長老英譯為「鱷魚」(crocodile)。按:「鱣」音義同「鱔」。
  「生其厭(SA.1171);不喜(AA.38.8)」,南傳作「排拒」(byāpajjati,動詞,另譯為「反抗;惱害」),菩提比丘長老英譯為「排斥」(repelled),《光明寺経蔵》譯為「討厭」(嫌い)。按:《顯揚真義》以「因惡意而有腐敗(發臭)的心」(byāpādavasena pūticittaṃ hoti)解說。
  「得到責備」(labhati vattāraṃ),菩提比丘長老英譯為「遇上某位這樣斥責他的人」(meets someone who reproaches him thus)。按:《顯揚真義》以「得到指責(責備;呵責)」(Labhati vattāranti labhati codakaṃ)解說,今準此譯。
  「是不淨的村落荊棘者」(asucigāmakaṇṭakoti),菩提比丘長老英譯為「是一位污穢的村落荊棘」(is a foul village thorn)。按:《顯揚真義》說,「村落荊棘」指破壞、刺破的荊棘。註疏說,「村民的刺破」(Gāmavāsīnaṃ vijjhanaṭṭhenāti)指以接受他們無價值的行為(服務)壓迫[村民]。
