  209.[同]之前的起源(因由)。
  比丘們!有這三種解脫,哪三種呢?空解脫、無相解脫、無願解脫。比丘們!這些是三種解脫。

  210.什麼是空解脫?這裡,比丘到林野,或到樹下,或到空屋像這樣深慮:「以我或我所這是空。」「在那裡他不做執著」為空解脫。這是空解脫。
  什麼是無相解脫?這裡,比丘到林野,或到樹下,或到空屋像這樣深慮:「以我或我所這是空。」「在那裡他不做相」為無相解脫。這是無相解脫。
  什麼是無願解脫?這裡,比丘到林野,或到樹下,或到空屋像這樣深慮:「以我或我所這是空。」「在那裡他不做願求」為無願解脫。這是無願解脫。
  什麼是自身內上升出來的解脫?四種禪,這是自身內上升出來的解脫。什麼是從外部上升出來的解脫?四種無色等至,這是從外部上升出來的解脫。什麼是從兩者上升出來的解脫?四聖道,這是從從兩者上升出來的解脫。
  哪些是從自身內上升出來的四種解脫?初禪從諸蓋上升出來;第二禪從諸尋伺上升出來;第三禪從喜上升出來;第四禪從樂苦上升出來,這些是從自身內上升出來的四種解脫。
  哪些是從外部上升出來的四種解脫?虛空無邊處等至從色想、有對想、種種想上升出來;識無邊處等至從虛空無邊處想上升出來;無所有處等至從識無邊處想上升出來;非想非非想處等至從無所有處想上升出來,這些是從外部上升出來的四種解脫。
  哪些是從兩者上升出來的四種解脫?須陀洹道從有身見、疑、戒禁取見煩惱潛在趨勢疑煩惱潛在趨勢上升出來;從其隨轉起的諸污染與諸蘊上升出來;從外部與一切相上升出來。一來道從粗的欲貪結、嫌惡結,從粗的欲貪煩惱潛在趨勢嫌惡煩惱潛在趨勢上升出來,從其隨轉起的諸污染與諸蘊上升出來,從外部與一切相上升出來。不還道從殘餘的欲貪結、嫌惡結,從殘餘的欲貪煩惱潛在趨勢、嫌惡煩惱潛在趨勢上升出來,從其隨轉起的諸污染與諸蘊上升出來,從外部與一切相上升出來。阿羅漢道從色貪、無色貪、慢、掉舉、無明、慢煩惱潛在趨勢有貪煩惱潛在趨勢無明煩惱潛在趨勢上升出來;從其隨轉起的諸污染與諸蘊上升出來;從外部與一切相上升出來。這些是從兩者上升出來的四種解脫。
  211.哪些是對從自身內上升出來隨順的四種解脫?為了得到初禪之目的有尋、伺、喜、樂、心一境性;為了得到第二禪之目的……(中略)為了得到第三禪之目的……(中略)為了得到第四禪之目的有尋、伺、喜、樂、心一境性,這些是對從自身內上升出來隨順的四種解脫。
  哪些是對從外部上升出來隨順的四種解脫?為了得到虛空無邊處等至之目的有尋、伺、喜、樂、心一境性;為了得到識無邊處等至之目的……(中略)為了得到無所有處等至之目的……(中略)為了得到非想非非想處等至之目的有尋、伺、喜、樂、心一境性,這些是對從外部上升出來隨順的四種解脫。
  哪些是對從兩者上升出來隨順的四種解脫?為了得到須陀洹道之目的有無常隨觀、苦隨觀、無我隨觀;為了得到一來道之目的……(中略)為了得到不還道之目的……(中略)為了得到阿羅漢道之目的有無常隨觀、苦隨觀、無我隨觀,這些是對從兩者上升出來隨順的四種解脫。
  哪些是自身內上升出來安息的四種解脫?初禪的得到或果報;第二禪的……(中略)第三禪的……(中略)第四禪的得到或果報,這些是自身內上升出來安息的四種解脫。
  哪些是外部上升出來安息的四種解脫?虛空無邊處等至的得到或果報;識無邊處等至的……(中略)無所有處等至的……(中略)非想非非想處等至的得到或果報,這些是外部上升出來安息的四種解脫。
  哪些是兩者上升出來安息的四種解脫?對須陀洹道來說為須陀洹果;對一來道來說為一來果;對不還道來說為不還果;對阿羅漢道來說為阿羅漢果,這些是兩者上升出來安息的四種解脫。
  212.如何是「有色者見諸色」的解脫?在這裡,某些人作意各自自身內的青相,他得到青想,他善把握、善留心、善區別(界定)那個相,善把握、善留心、善區別那個相後,他集中心於外部的青相上,他得到青想,他善把握、善留心、善區別那個相,善把握、善留心、善區別那個相後,他練習、修習、多修習,他這麼想:「這是自身內、外部、兩者的色。」而成為色想者。在這裡,某些人作意各自自身內的黃相……(中略)赤相……(中略)作意各自自身內的白相,他得到白想,他善把握、善留心、善區別那個相,善把握、善留心、善區別那個相後,他集中心於外部的白相上,他得到白想,他善把握、善留心、善區別那個相,善把握、善留心、善區別那個相後,他練習、修習、多修習,他這麼想:「這是自身內、外部、兩者的色。」而成為色想者。這樣是「有色者見諸色」的解脫。
  如何是「自身內無色想者見外諸色」的解脫?在這裡,某些人不作意各自自身內的青相,他沒得到青想,他集中心於外部的青相上,他得到青想,他善把握、善留心、善區別那個相,善把握、善留心、善區別那個相後,他練習、修習、多修習,他這麼想:「自身內是無色的,這是外部的色。」而成為色想者。在這裡,某些人不作意各自自身內的黃相……(中略)赤相……(中略)不作意各自自身內的白相,他沒得到白想,他集中心於外部的白相上,他得到白想,他善把握、善留心、善區別那個相,善把握、善留心、善區別那個相後,他練習、修習、多修習,他這麼想:「自身內是無色的,這是外部的色。」而成為色想者。這樣是「自身內無色想者見外諸色」的解脫。
  如何是「只傾心於清淨的」的解脫?在這裡,比丘以與慈俱行之心遍滿一方後而住,像這樣第二方,像這樣第三方,像這樣第四方,像這樣上下、橫向、到處,對一切如對自己,以與慈俱行之心,以廣大、以出眾、以無量、以無怨恨、以無惡意之心遍滿全部世間後而住,以慈已修習的狀態眾生成為不厭逆的。以與悲俱行之心……(中略)以悲已修習的狀態眾生成為不厭逆的。以與喜悅俱行之心……(中略)以喜悅已修習的狀態眾生成為不厭逆的。以與平靜俱行之心遍滿一方後而住……(中略)以平靜已修習的狀態眾生成為不厭逆的。這樣是「只傾心於清淨的」的解脫。
  213.什麼是虛空無邊處等至的解脫?在這裡,比丘以一切色想的超越,以有對想的滅沒,以不作意種種想[而知]:「虛空是無邊的」,進入後住於虛空無邊處,這是虛空無邊處等至的解脫。
  什麼是識無邊處等至的解脫?在這裡,比丘超越一切虛空無邊處後[而知]:「識是無邊的」,進入後住於識無邊處,這是識無邊處等至的解脫。
  什麼是無所有處等至的解脫?在這裡,比丘超越一切識無邊處後[而知]:「什麼都沒有」,進入後住於無所有處,這是無所有處等至的解脫。
  什麼是非想非非想處等至的解脫?在這裡,比丘超越一切無所有處後,進入後住於非想非非想處,這是非想非非想處等至的解脫。
  什麼是想受滅等至的解脫?在這裡,比丘超越一切非想非非想處後,進入後住於想受滅,這是想受滅等至的解脫。
  什麼是暫時的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是暫時的解脫。
  什麼是非暫時的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是非暫時的解脫。
  什麼是一時的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是一時的解脫。
  什麼是非一時的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是非一時的解脫。
  什麼是動(不穩定)的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是動的解脫。
  什麼是不動的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是不動的解脫。
  什麼是世間的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是世間的解脫。
  什麼是出世間的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是出世間的解脫。
  什麼是有煩惱的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是有煩惱的解脫。
  什麼是無煩惱的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是無煩惱的解脫。
  什麼是肉體(有味)的解脫?與色有關的解脫,這是肉體的解脫。
  什麼是精神(無味)的解脫?與無色有關的解脫,這是精神的解脫。
  什麼是比精神更精神的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是比精神更精神的解脫。
  什麼是願求的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是願求的解脫。
  什麼是無願的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是無願的解脫。
  什麼是願求安息的解脫?初禪的得到或果報……(中略)非想非非想處等至的得到或果報,些願求安息的解脫。
  什麼是被結縛的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是被結縛的解脫。
  什麼是離結縛的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是離結縛的解脫。
  什麼是單一的解脫?四聖道、四沙門果、涅槃,這是單一的解脫。
  什麼是種種的解脫?四禪與四無色等至,這是種種的解脫。
  214.什麼是想的解脫?會有一種想的解脫成為十種想的解脫;因所依、以法門而十種想的解脫成為一種想的解脫。如何會有?「無常隨觀智被從常想(想為常的)解脫」為想的解脫;「苦隨觀智被從樂想解脫」為想的解脫;「無我隨觀智被從真我想解脫」為想的解脫;「厭隨觀智被從歡喜想解脫」為想的解脫;「離貪隨觀智被從貪想解脫」為想的解脫;「滅隨觀智被從集想解脫」為想的解脫;「斷念隨觀智被從執著想解脫」為想的解脫;「無相隨觀智被從相想解脫」為想的解脫;「無願隨觀智被從願求想解脫」為想的解脫;「空隨觀智被從執著想解脫」為想的解脫[參看〈1.智的談論〉41.段],這樣,會有一種想的解脫成為十種想的解脫;因所依、以法門而十種想的解脫成為一種想的解脫。

  凡無常隨觀智、無我隨觀智、無相隨觀智、空隨觀智這四種智被從三種執取解脫:從見取、戒禁取、[真]我論取。凡苦隨觀智、厭隨觀智、離貪隨觀智、無願隨觀智這四種智被從一種執取解脫:從欲取。凡滅隨觀智、斷念隨觀智這二種智被從四種執取解脫:從欲取、見取、戒禁取、[真]我論取。這是以不執取心的解脫。

  219.又,這三解脫門導向世間的出離:為了一切行形成圓周限界的看見與為了心於無相界的進入;為了在一切行上意的鼓舞與為了心於無願界的進入;為了一切法更進一步的看見與為了心於空界的進入,這三解脫門導向世間的出離。
  當他作意為無常的時諸行如何[對他]現起?當他作意為苦的時諸行如何現起?當他作意為無我的時諸行如何現起?當他作意為無常的時諸行[對他]現起為滅盡;當他作意為苦的時諸行現起為怖畏;當他作意為無我的時諸行現起為空。
  當他作意為無常的時有富有什麼的心?當他作意為苦的時有富有什麼的心?當他作意為無我的時有富有什麼的心?當他作意為無常的時有富有勝解的心;當他作意為苦的時有富有寧靜(輕安)的心;當他作意為無我的時有富有智(吠陀)的心。
  當他作意為無常的時得到哪個富有勝解的根?當他作意為苦的時得到哪個富有寧靜的根?當他作意為無我的時得到哪個富有智的根?當他作意為無常的時得到富有勝解的信根;當他作意為苦的時得到富有寧靜的定根;當他作意為無我的時得到富有智的慧根。
  當富有勝解者作意為無常的時哪個根成為增上?對修習來說多少根為它的隨行、為俱生緣、為互相緣、為依止緣、為相應緣、為一味?以何義修習?誰修習?當富有寧靜者作意為苦的時哪個根成為增上?對修習來說多少根為它的隨行、為俱生緣、為互相緣、為依止緣、為相應緣、為一味?以何義修習?誰修習?當富有智者作意為無我的時哪個根成為增上?對修習來說多少根為它的隨行、為俱生緣、為互相緣、為依止緣、為相應緣、為一味?以何義修習?誰修習?當富有勝解者作意為無常的時信根成為增上,對修習來說[其它]四個根為它的隨行、為俱生緣、為互相緣、為依止緣、為相應緣、為一味,以一味義修習,凡正行者他修習,沒有邪行者的根修習。當富有寧靜者作意為苦的時定根成為增上,對修習來說四個根為它的隨行、為俱生緣、為互相緣、為依止緣、為相應緣、為一味,以一味義修習,凡正行者他修習,沒有邪行者的根修習。當富有智者作意為無我的時慧根成為增上,對修習來說四個根為它的隨行、為俱生緣、為互相緣、為依止緣、為相應緣、為一味,以一味義修習,凡正行者他修習,沒有邪行者的根修習。

So taṃ nimittaṃ suggahitaṃ karoti, sūpadhāritaṃ upadhāreti, svāvatthitaṃ avatthāpeti. So taṃ nimittaṃ suggahitaṃ katvā sūpadhāritaṃ [supadhāritaṃ (ka.)] upadhāretvā svāvatthitaṃ avatthāpetvā bahiddhā nīlanimitte cittaṃ upasaṃharati, nīlasaññaṃ paṭilabhati. So taṃ nimittaṃ suggahitaṃ karoti, sūpadhāritaṃ upadhāreti, svāvatthitaṃ avatthāpeti. So taṃ nimittaṃ suggahitaṃ katvā upadhāretvā svāvatthitaṃ avatthāpetvā āsevati bhāveti bahulīkaroti.   Kathaṃ ‘‘subha’’nteva adhimutto hotīti – vimokkho? Idha bhikkhu mettāsahagatena cetasā ekaṃ disaṃ pharitvā viharati, tathā dutiyaṃ, tathā tatiyaṃ, tathā catutthaṃ. Iti uddhamadho tiriyaṃ sabbadhi sabbattatāya sabbāvantaṃ lokaṃ mettāsahagatena cetasā vipulena mahaggatena appamāṇena averena abyāpajjena [abyāpajjhena (syā.)] pharitvā viharati. Mettāya bhāvitattā sattā appaṭikūlā honti. Karuṇāsahagatena cetasā…pe… karuṇāya bhāvitattā sattā appaṭikūlā honti. Muditāsahagatena cetasā…pe… muditāya bhāvitattā sattā appaṭikūlā honti.   213. Katamo ākāsānañcāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho? Idha bhikkhu sabbaso rūpasaññānaṃ samatikkamā paṭighasaññānaṃ atthaṅgamā nānattasaññānaṃ amanasikārā ‘‘ananto ākāso’’ti ākāsānañcāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati – ayaṃ ākāsānañcāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho.
  Katamo viññāṇañcāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho? Idha bhikkhu sabbaso ākāsānañcāyatanaṃ samatikkamma ‘‘anantaṃ viññāṇa’’nti viññāṇañcāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati – ayaṃ viññāṇañcāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho.
  Katamo ākiñcaññāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho? Idha bhikkhu sabbaso viññāṇañcāyatanaṃ samatikkamma ‘‘natthi kiñcī’’ti ākiñcaññāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati – ayaṃ ākiñcaññāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho .
  Katamo nevasaññānāsaññāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho? Idha bhikkhu sabbaso ākiñcaññāyatanaṃ samatikkamma nevasaññānāsaññāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati – ayaṃ nevasaññānāsaññāyatanasamāpatti vimokkho.
  Katamo saññāvedayitanirodhasamāpatti vimokkho? Idha bhikkhu sabbaso nevasaññānāsaññāyatanaṃ samatikkamma saññāvedayitanirodhaṃ upasampajja viharati – ayaṃ saññāvedayitanirodhasamāpatti vimokkho.
  Katamo samayavimokkho? Cattāri ca jhānāni catasso ca arūpasamāpattiyo – ayaṃ samayavimokkho.

Evaṃ abhinīhāraṭṭhena tayo vimokkhā nānākkhaṇe honti.
  Kathaṃ niyyānaṭṭhena tayo vimokkhā nānākkhaṇe honti? Aniccato manasikaronto animittavimokkhassa vasena nirodhaṃ nibbānaṃ niyyāti, dukkhato manasikaronto appaṇihitavimokkhassa vasena nirodhaṃ nibbānaṃ niyyāti, anattato manasikaronto suññatavimokkhassa vasena nirodhaṃ nibbānaṃ niyyāti.   230. Katamaṃ mukhaṃ? Ye tattha jātā anavajjā kusalā bodhipakkhiyādhammā, idaṃ mukhaṃ.
  Katamaṃ vimokkhamukhaṃ? Yaṃ tesaṃ dhammānaṃ ārammaṇaṃ nirodho nibbānaṃ, idaṃ vimokkhamukhaṃ. Vimokkhañca mukhañca vimokkhamukhaṃ, idaṃ vimokkhamukhaṃ.
  Katamaṃ vimokkhapaccanīkaṃ? Tīṇi akusalamūlāni vimokkhapaccanīkāni, tīṇi duccaritāni vimokkhapaccanīkāni, sabbepi akusalā dhammā vimokkhapaccanīkā, idaṃ vimokkhapaccanīkaṃ.
  Katamaṃ vimokkhānulomaṃ? Tīṇi kusalamūlāni vimokkhānulomāni, tīṇi sucaritāni vimokkhānulomāni, sabbepi kusalā dhammā vimokkhānulomā, idaṃ vimokkhānulomaṃ.
  Katamo vimokkhavivaṭṭo? Saññāvivaṭṭo, cetovivaṭṭo, cittavivaṭṭo, ñāṇavivaṭṭo, vimokkhavivaṭṭo, saccavivaṭṭo. Sañjānanto vivaṭṭatīti – saññāvivaṭṭo. Cetayanto vivaṭṭatīti – cetovivaṭṭo. Vijānanto vivaṭṭatīti – cittavivaṭṭo. Ñāṇaṃ karonto vivaṭṭatīti – ñāṇavivaṭṭo. Vosajjanto vivaṭṭatīti – vimokkhavivaṭṭo. Tathaṭṭhena vivaṭṭatīti – saccavivaṭṭo.

  「上升出來」(vuṭṭhāna,動詞vuṭṭhāti),參看〈1.智的談論〉11.段註解。
  「與色有關的」(Rūpappaṭisaññutto,解讀為Rūpappaṭisaṃyutto),《顯揚正法》以「諸色禪」(Rūpappaṭisaññuttoti rūpajjhānāni)解說,也就是色界初禪~第四禪。則「與無色有關的」(arūpappaṭisaññutto)就是無色界虛空無邊處~非想非非想處。
  《顯揚正法》的解說:1.「被從相解脫」(nimittā muccatīti):被從常相解脫(niccanimittato muccati)。2.「在那裡不願求(祈願;欲求)」(tattha na paṇidahatīti):在那個相上不作希求(tasmiṃ nimitte patthanaṃ na karoti)。3.「不論在何處都不願求」(Yattha na paṇidahati):不論在什麼相上不願求(yasmiṃ nimitte na paṇidahati)。4.「因為那為空」(tena suññoti):以那個相是空的(tena nimittena suñño)。5.「因為它是空的」(yena suñño):因為以相是空的(yena nimittena suñño)。6.「因此它以相[空]為無相」(tena nimittena animittoti):以這個,無相義被說(iminā animittaṭṭho vutto)。
