  「比丘們!有這三種壞失,哪三種呢?戒的壞失、心的壞失、見的壞失。
  比丘們!什麼是戒的壞失呢?比丘們!這裡,某人是殺生者、……(中略)雜穢語者,比丘們!這被稱為戒的壞失。
  比丘們!什麼是心的壞失呢?比丘們!這裡,某人是貪婪者、有瞋害心者,比丘們!這被稱為心的壞失。
  比丘們!什麼是見的壞失呢?比丘們!這裡,某人是邪見者,有顛倒見:『無布施,無供養,無供物,無善作的、惡作的業之果與報,無此世,無他世,無母,無父,無化生眾生,在世間中無正行的、正行道的沙門、婆羅門以證智自作證後而宣說此世、他世。』比丘們!這被稱為見的壞失。
  比丘們!因為戒的壞失,……(中略)或者,比丘們!因為見的壞失,眾生以身體的崩解,死後往生到苦界惡趣下界、地獄,比丘們!猶如無缺點的骰子被向上擲,會就落地處很穩固地停住,同樣的,比丘們!因為戒的壞失,……(中略)。比丘們!這是三種壞失。
  比丘們!有這三種具足,哪三種呢?戒的具足、心的具足、見的具足。
  比丘們!什麼是戒的具足呢?比丘們!這裡,某人是離殺生者……(中略)比丘們!這被稱為戒的具足。
  比丘們!什麼是心的具足呢?比丘們!這裡,某人是不貪婪者、無瞋害心者,比丘們!這被稱為心的具足。
  比丘們!什麼是見的具足呢?比丘們!這裡,某人是正見者,無顛倒見:『有布施,有供養,……(中略)在世間中有正行的、正行道的沙門、婆羅門以證智自作證後而宣說此世、他世。』比丘們!這被稱為見的具足。
  比丘們!因為戒的具足,眾生以身體的崩解,死後往生到善趣、天界,或者,比丘們!因為心的具足,……(中略)或者,比丘們!因為見的具足,眾生以身體的崩解,死後往生到善趣、天界,比丘們!猶如無缺點的骰子被向上擲,會就落地處很穩固地停住,同樣的,比丘們!因為戒的具足,眾生以身體的崩解,死後往生到善趣、天界,或者,比丘們!因為心的具足,……(中略)或者,比丘們!因為見的具足,眾生以身體的崩解,死後往生到善趣、天界。比丘們!這是三種具足。」

   119. “Tisso imā, bhikkhave, vipattiyo. Katamā tisso? Sīlavipatti, cittavipatti, diṭṭhivipatti. Katamā ca, bhikkhave, sīlavipatti? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco pāṇātipātī hoti …pe… samphappalāpī hoti. Ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, sīlavipatti.
   “Katamā ca, bhikkhave, cittavipatti? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco abhijjhālu hoti byāpannacitto. Ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, cittavipatti.
   “Katamā ca, bhikkhave, diṭṭhivipatti? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco micchādiṭṭhiko hoti viparītadassano– ‘natthi dinnaṃ, natthi yiṭṭhaṃ …pe… ye imañca lokaṃ parañca lokaṃ sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā pavedentī’ti. Ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, diṭṭhivipatti. Sīlavipattihetu vā, bhikkhave …pe… diṭṭhivipattihetu vā, bhikkhave, sattā kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapajjanti. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, apaṇṇako maṇi uddhaṃ khitto yena yeneva patiṭṭhāti suppatiṭṭhitaṃyeva patiṭṭhāti; evamevaṃ kho, bhikkhave, sīlavipattihetu vā sattā …pe… upapajjanti. Imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso vipattiyoti.
   “Tisso imā, bhikkhave, sampadā. Katamā tisso? Sīlasampadā, cittasampadā, diṭṭhisampadā Katamā ca, bhikkhave, sīlasampadā? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco pāṇātipātā paṭivirato hoti …pe… ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, sīlasampadā.
   “Katamā ca, bhikkhave, cittasampadā? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco anabhijjhālu hoti abyāpannacitto. Ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, cittasampadā.
   “Katamā ca, bhikkhave, diṭṭhisampadā? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco sammādiṭṭhiko hoti aviparītadassano– ‘atthi dinnaṃ, atthi yiṭṭhaṃ …pe… ye imañca lokaṃ parañca lokaṃ sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā pavedentī’ti.
