  「比丘們!有這三種人正存在於現在的世間中,哪三種?顛倒慧的人、膝慧的人、廣慧的人。
  比丘們!而哪一種是顛倒慧的人?比丘們!這裡,某一種人是常常為了在比丘們的面前聽聞法去僧園者,比丘們為他教導開頭是善的、中間是善的、結尾是善的;有意義的有文字的法,說明完全圓滿、遍純淨的梵行,坐在那個座位上的他既不作意那談論的開頭,也不作意中間、也不作意結尾,已從那個座位起來,也既不作意那個談論的開頭,也不作意中間、也不作意結尾。比丘們!猶如倒下的瓶子,在那裡,已注入的水流出(轉回),不留下來(住立)。同樣的,比丘們!這裡,某一種人是常常為了在比丘們的面前聽聞法去僧園者,比丘們為他教導開頭是善的、中間是善的、結尾是善的;有意義的、有文字的法,說明完全圓滿、遍純淨的梵行,坐在那個座位上的他既不作意那談論的開頭,也不作意中間、也不作意結尾,已從那個座位起來,也既不作意那談論的開頭,也不作意中間、也不作意結尾,比丘們!這被稱為顛倒慧的人。
  比丘們!而哪一種是膝慧的人?比丘們!這裡,某一種人是常常為了在比丘們的面前聽聞法去僧園者,比丘們為他教導開頭是善的、中間是善的、結尾是善的;有意義的、有文字的法,說明完全圓滿、遍純淨的梵行,坐在那個座位上的他既作意那個談論的開頭,也作意中間、也作意結尾,但已從那個座位起來,既不作意那談論的開頭,也不作意中間、也不作意完結。比丘們!猶如在男子的膝上有種種散亂的硬食:芝麻、米、糖果、棗子,當他失念地從那個座位起來時會散落。同樣的,比丘們!這裡,某一種人是常常為了在比丘們的面前聽聞法去僧園者,比丘們為他教導開頭是善的、中間是善的、結尾是善的;有意義的、有文字的法,說明完全圓滿、遍純淨的梵行,坐在那個座位上的他既作意那個談論的開頭,也作意中間、也作意結尾,但已從那個座位起來,既不作意那談論的開頭,也不作意中間、也不作意完結,比丘們!這被稱為膝慧的人。
  比丘們!而哪一種是廣慧的人?比丘們!這裡,某一種人是常常為了在比丘們的面前聽聞法去僧園者,比丘們為他教導開頭是善的、中間是善的、結尾是善的;有意義的、有文字的法,說明完全圓滿、遍純淨的梵行,坐在那個座位上的他既作意那個談論的開頭,也作意中間、也作意結尾,已從那個座位起來,也既作意那個談論的開頭,也作意中間、也作意結尾。比丘們!猶如直立的瓶子,在那裡,已注入的水留下來,不流出。同樣的,比丘們!這裡,某一種人是常常為了在比丘們的面前聽聞法去僧園者,比丘們為他教導開頭是善的、中間是善的、結尾是善的;有意義的、有文字的法,說明完全圓滿、遍純淨的梵行,坐在那個座位上的他既作意那個談論的開頭,也作意中間、也作意結尾,已從那個座位起來,也既作意那個談論的開頭,也作意中間、也作意結尾,比丘們!這被稱為廣慧的人。比丘們!這是三種人正存在於現在的世間中。」
  「顛倒慧的人,是劣智慧者、不明察者,
   如果是常常,去比丘們的面前者。
   像那樣者對談論的開頭與中間,以及結尾,
   不能夠把握,因為他的慧不存在。
   膝慧的人,被說為比這個更好,
   如果也是常常,去比丘們的面前者。
   像那樣者對談論的開頭與中間,以及結尾,
   坐在那個座位者,把握字句後,
   已起來不知道,忘失他把握的。
   而廣慧的人,被說為比這個更好,
   如果也是常常,去比丘們的面前者。
   像那樣者對談論的開頭與中間,以及結尾,
   坐在那個座位者,把握字句後,
   最上意向者憶持,心意不混亂的人,
   法、隨法行者,會作苦的終結。」
  人品第三,其攝頌
  「三彌達、病人、行,多助益與鑽石,
   結交、嫌惡、糞語者,盲目者與顛倒。」
AN.3.30/ 10. Avakujjasuttaṃ
   30. “Tayome bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṃvijjamānā lokasmiṃ. Katame tayo? Avakujjapañño puggalo, ucchaṅgapañño puggalo, puthupañño puggalo. Katamo ca, bhikkhave, avakujjapañño puggalo? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo ārāmaṃ gantā hoti abhikkhaṇaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ santike dhammassavanāya. Tassa bhikkhū dhammaṃ desenti ādikalyāṇaṃ majjhekalyāṇaṃ pariyosānakalyāṇaṃ sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ, kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariyaṃ pakāsenti. So tasmiṃ āsane nisinno tassā kathāya neva ādiṃ manasi karoti, na majjhaṃ manasi karoti, na pariyosānaṃ manasi karoti; vuṭṭhitopi tamhā āsanā tassā kathāya neva ādiṃ manasi karoti, na majjhaṃ manasi karoti, na pariyosānaṃ manasi karoti. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, kumbho nikkujjo tatra udakaṃ āsittaṃ vivaṭṭati, no saṇṭhāti; evamevaṃ kho, bhikkhave, idhekacco puggalo ārāmaṃ gantā hoti abhikkhaṇaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ santike dhammassavanāya. Tassa bhikkhū dhammaṃ desenti ādikalyāṇaṃ majjhekalyāṇaṃ pariyosānakalyāṇaṃ sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ, kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariyaṃ pakāsenti. Tassa bhikkhū dhammaṃ desenti ādikalyāṇaṃ majjhekalyāṇaṃ pariyosānakalyāṇaṃ sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ, kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariyaṃ pakāsenti. So tasmiṃ āsane nisinno tassā kathāya ādimpi manasi karoti, majjhampi manasi karoti, pariyosānampi manasi karoti; vuṭṭhito ca kho tamhā āsanā tassā kathāya neva ādiṃ manasi karoti, na majjhaṃ manasi karoti, na pariyosānaṃ manasi karoti. Ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, puthupañño puggalo. ‘Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo puggalā santo saṃvijjamānā lokasmin’”ti.
  “Avakujjapañño puriso, dummedho avicakkhaṇo;
  Abhikkhaṇampi ce hoti, gantā bhikkhūna santike.
  “Ādiṃ kathāya majjhañca, pariyosānañca tādiso;
  Uggahetuṃ na sakkoti, paññā hissa na vijjati.
  “Ucchaṅgapañño puriso, seyyo etena vuccati;
  Abhikkhaṇampi ce hoti, gantā bhikkhūna santike.
  “Ādiṃ kathāya majjhañca, pariyosānañca tādiso;
  Nisinno āsane tasmiṃ, uggahetvāna byañjanaṃ.
  Vuṭṭhito nappajānāti, gahitaṃ hissa mussati.
  “Puthupañño ca puriso, seyyo etehi vuccati;
  Abhikkhaṇampi ce hoti, gantā bhikkhūna santike.
  “Ādiṃ kathāya majjhañca, pariyosānañca tādiso;
  Nisinno āsane tasmiṃ, uggahetvāna byañjanaṃ.
  “Dhāreti seṭṭhasaṅkappo, abyaggamānaso naro;
  Dhammānudhammappaṭipanno, dukkhassantakaro siyā”ti. Dasamaṃ.

   Tassuddānaṃ–
   Samiddha -gilāna-saṅkhārā, bahukārā vajirena ca.
   Sevi-jiguccha-gūthabhāṇī, andho ca avakujjatāti.
